Luke Frank Aulick

Noah meeting his baby brother Luke for the first time!

Luke arrived on Thursday May 14th at 3:23 pm weighing 8 lbs 13 oz!
Brian and I went to my weekly doctor check-up on Thursday morning after dropping Noah off at school. That is where we learned that I was 5 cm and in labor! I went over to the hospital to be admitted .... we were in a room by 11 am and things just rolled right along. It was all kind of a blur because it was just happening so fast. We feel very blessed to have another healthy son. We are hoping to go home home today and being able to spend sometime with Noah as a family! Noah is very excited about his new brother :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

What a beautiful day it has turned out to be! We have been waiting for this sunshine... there has been lots of rain around here. We are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Luke.... hopefully he will be here soon. I have been off of work for a couple of weeks now and it has been nice to relax and enjoy this time with Noah and Brian before our lives soon change! Brian has finished his Master's program at UL and continues to work on finishing the basement. He has been sick since last Wednesday and thankfully he is starting to feel better.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Mother's Day.... we are very thankful for our mothers and all that they do! What a blessing they have been to our lives!

Not much longer.....

Noah watching the rain from his window

Noah enjoying the beautiful day at the zoo with his daddy!

Wow.. it is hard to believe that I will be 34 WEEKS pregnant this week... only 47 days until my due date! I am not counting down or anything. I am trying to enjoy these last weeks before Luke arrives. Noah seems very excited at the moment but I am not sure he really understands how things will soon change. I believe that he will do great and enjoy being a big brother. I guess the thing that is bothering me this time around is that I am not organized or ready for this baby. With Noah his room was ready and things washed and put away. Luke does not even have a room at this point which does not matter since he will be in our room for the first month or so. I keep putting things off and thinking that I have plenty of time... hopefully Luke does not try to come too early!
The basement is coming along .... Brian had a week off for spring break and manage to get a lot of work done. He only has 3 more weeks of school left and then will graduate on May 9th! He is very excited to be done with school and looks forward to finding a new job for the fall. We both look forward to the weeks to come... warmer weather (hopefully for good soon), graduation, a new addition to our family, and family vacation to the beach.

Aunt George, Baby Matt and Noah

Noah enjoying the Merry go Round at the Zoo.... on one of our few warm days!

Noah and Nate at the Circus!

It has been a while since our last post.... I am really going to try and update more! ( I know I have said it before) Between the ice/snow storm and illness our house has been all but normal these days. We spent a week with Brian's parents while we were without electricity... we sure were thankful for having a warm palce to go. Noah loved every minute of it.. he thought we had moved in!! By the end of the week we were ready to get back home and get things back to normal.
Brian is student teaching at Kenwood Elementary for the first part of his last semester. He really loves it and loves working with the children. It is hard to believe that he will be finished with school in only a few months! The second part of his semester will be at a middle school.... we will see which he likes better?!Noah is currently fighting a respiratory infection and it sure has wiped him out. We are hoping he makes a turn for the better ... SOON!
Time sure is flying by... I can hardly believe that we have a new addition to our family in 3 months!! Where has time gone? My doctor appt. went well last week and I am waiting on the results of my 1 hour glucose test! I am hoping that I passed this time around... the 3 hr test is NO FUN! I now will be going for a checkup every THREE weeks. When she said she would see me in 3 weeks I guess it made me realize that this pregnancy is moving right along! I think with this pregnancy Noah has kept me busy and I really have not had much time to prepare or really think about how our lives will soon change! We can hardly wait but also have lots to do to prepare.... Brian is starting on finishing in our basement which is going to be a large chore!

We are excited to be having another healthy baby BOY! We had our ultrasound today and everything looked great which we are very thankful for! When we came home to tell Noah he was going to be having a little brother he was very excited... jumping around saying "i have a brother". He also says that he needs a sister so maybe we may have to try again but I am not sure any of the Aulick's are able to produce girls!! When discussing names... Noah shared that he likes the name "buzz". May will be here before we know it so there are many home projects that must soon be started!

It is hard to believe that Christmas is just NEXT week. For once I am almost finished shopping prior to the day before Christmas! We look forward to spending time with family next week. We are excited to find out on Wednesday if Noah will have a little brother or little sister. Our ultrasound is on Wednesday and we pray that he/or she is healthy. Thursday is Noah's Christmas program at school... his class is singing jingle bells and we continue to practice each day! Brian is finishing up his school semester this week. We are both happen that this semester is finally over!!! One more to go ..... Brian will be student teaching beginning in January after he returns from his annual trip to Las Vegas with his brother and dad. We hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season!
