Luke is turning ONE!

My sweet little Luke is turning ONE next Friday! With the help of my wonderful sister-in-law, Lee-Anne, we were able to take some 1 yr photos tonight. I feel like it was just yesterday he was born. This year has gone by so quickly.

Luke is on the move... he is trying to walk and is in to everything! He keeps me on my toes for sure. He brings such joy to our lives. As we celebrate Mother's Day this weekend ... I feel truly blessed to have TWO beautiful and healthy sons! I treasure each and every day I have with them.

My "little" boys!

Normally it is me taking the pictures so it is not often there is one of me and the kids! We enjoyed Easter weekend with our families. It was a beautiful weekend! I am so thankful for the sunshine and warm weather. The boys enjoy being outside and I am thankful to get out of the house after what seems like a long winter. I hope everyone had a HAPPY EASTER! He is Risen!!

Nate turns SIX!

Last Friday my nephew turned SIX years old! Where has time gone?! Nate- We love you very much and hope you had a wonderful birthday. You are such a wonderful blessing to our family :)

Brian took Noah on Friday to buy his FIRST bike! Noah was so excited to come home and show me and they even bought a horn to add to the handle bars (I am sure the neighbors love this). It was so sweet watching Brian help teach Noah how to ride.... my boys are blessed to have such an awesome daddy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This little guy brings a smile to my face each and everyday! He enjoyed his annual St. Patrick's Day party at Grandma's house on Monday. Poor Luke has been sick since Sunday so he missed out! Hope everyone has had a great day ... we are hoping tomorrow is a better day for Luke!

Enjoying the sunshine!

Instead of nap time today we had playtime at the park! The boys had a great time enjoying the sunshine and I enjoyed being outdoors and not home doing laundry, cleaning or just being stuck in the house. I love watching Noah interact with the other kids ... he is very outgoing and loves to play with anyone willing to play with him. He found one little girl that he enjoyed playing with but he made the mistake of trying to play "monster" with her and he called her a monster. She got upset and her dad had to explain to her Noah did not mean anything bad by this but was just trying to play with her. She is a six yr old girl that did not find it funny to be called a monster but later told her Dad... " Dad, if you ever adopt a little boy can he be just like Noah.... he is so much fun to play with"! Luke enjoyed watching Noah, swinging and being pushed down the slide by his big brother! I look forward to many more days outside in the near future! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather.

Growing up so fast!

I feel like it was just the other day I was holding this sweet little baby in my arms. Time is flying by! He is still and will always be my "baby"! He brings such joy to my life..... makes me laugh, smile, and at times makes me want to scream! Every night when I am leaving for work he tells me that I am his "best friend in the whole town"! I love him more and more everyday and am blessed to be his mother!

Two of Noah's typical looks!

I have recently learned more about how to take better pictures with my Canon SLR and use Lightroom to edit them. WOW.. it is amazing the difference when you actually know a little something about what you are doing! Thanks Julie! I can't wait to practice some more.... I am sure my kids are going to get tired of the camera in their face!

Did I mention I love this smile!

WOW... 8 months old!

It seems that each year goes by faster than the one before. Sometimes I wish that I could just slow things down. Luke just turned EIGHT months old. I remember the day he was born like it was just yesterday. Before I know it he will be turning one. Luke is such a sweet little baby ...well not so much little! He always has a way of bringing a smile to my face :) I have be blessed with a very low maintenance baby... he kind of just goes with the flow. Some nights I try to just cuddle and rock him but he would rather me lay him in his bed and leave him to fall asleep by himself. He loves his big brother. There are times that Noah will just walk in the room and Luke begins to smile and laugh. I can't wait to see them grow up together.... and I am sure there will be times when they are not the best of friends but they will always have each other! I love that beautiful smile!!

Three Years Old!

I sure love this little man! Noah is growing up so fast but I guess that is the way it goes! He has been such a great big brother and helper. He keeps me busy and can be a handful sometimes. Everyday is a new adventure which keeps our lives full of excitement :) I treasure each and every moment I get to spend with Noah even during the frustrating moments. I could not imagine our lives without him... what a blessing he is. Noah looks forward to the day when Luke "grows up" so he can run around with him. They will be the best of friends... well I hope!

Brothers!

Wow! 6 Months already!

Where has time gone? It is so hard to believe that Luke is already 6 months old! I feel like it was just yesterday I was pregnant counting down the days till we would finally meet him. He is growing up so fast and a big boy he is. I take him on Wednesday for his 6 month check up and can't wait to see what the scale says!
The last 6 months have gone by quickly but we are enjoying every moment we have had with sweet Luke... he is such a blessing to our family! He brings a smile to my face every day and his smile just melts my heart :) He is beginning to interact so much more everyday... and he loves his big brother. He will just sit and laugh at Noah with the biggest grin on his face. I look forward to the day when they can run around and play together... which is right around the corner. I am thankful and blessed with healthy little boy!

Potty Time!!

Well after many unsuccessful attempts.... I was able to convince Noah that he is a "big" boy and was ready to go pee pee on the potty. When asking Noah if he wanted to go potty he would always respond... "maybe later" but yesterday I decided to not take that answer. I decided to use stickers for rewards and once he got five stickers he would get to pick out a new toy. Well little did I know that would happen in a matter of hours. He was very determined to get a new toy. At one point I came upstairs to find Noah naked sitting on his potty reading books :) He is very excited about his new pull-ups and potty. I have had to talk him into getting up off the potty at times .. I think he would sit on it all day! I look forward to the day with only one in diapers!!

Vacation 2009

I know it has been along time since the last post.... Luke is now TWO months old! The last two months have flown by fast and Luke is growing bigger everyday. I am returning to work on Tuesday after a long much needed break!
We have spent the last few weeks on a family vacation in Perdido Key, Fl and Orange Beach, Al! Over all we have had a great time with a few small issues. Noah had a fever for a few days and then had a trip to the ER. Noah fell while walking on the pool deck and busted his chin open. The ER trip of course took a long six hours but overall Noah did great. It was very sad to see him so scared :( We stayed entertained with many of his scary stories and playign with the hospital gloves! He ended up with six stitches which put a little damper on the week ahead of swimming! It is nearly impossible to keep a two yr old out of the water while on vacation :) We actually went last night and had the stitches removed. He was very brave and only cried a little. When we first came into the ER he got a little scared :( He told me if that dr puts "that thing" over his face he was going to "karate chop him"! No karate chopping took place!
We are finally heading home tomorrow..... I think it is time for all of us to go home and back to reality! (and we miss our family and friends)
